Annabel Thompson Harris Endowed Scholarship

The Annabel Thompson Harris Endowed Scholarship was established in 1995 through a gift from Mrs. Harris’ estate. Mrs. Harris was a resident of Mecklenburg County and served throughout her career as a teacher in the public school system. A High Point College alumna, she was a member of the Class of 1930. Recipients of the Harris Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning. Although unrestricted, preference will be given to students majoring in education. Although not required, consideration may be given based upon financial need or academic merit. The scholarship is renewable upon the successful completion of the previous year’s work.
