Carl Maneval Smith Chair of Accounting and Finance

The Carl Maneval Smith Chair of Accounting and Finance was established in 2006 in honor of Dr. Carl M. Smith ’33, friend and benefactor of High Point University. The endowed fund was established to enable the university to seek the best possible academician to lead the programs in accounting and finance. Leadership is key to providing students in accounting and finance the knowledge and skills necessary in managing modern business organizations and in operating in an ethical and professional manner. The Carl Maneval Smith Chair of Accounting and Finance is housed in the Earl N. Phillips School of Business under the leadership of Dr. Jim Wehrley, Dean.
