Carter Holbrook Scholarship
The Carter T. Holbrook, Jr., Scholarship was established in 1994 by Mr. Carter T. Holbrook, Jr. of High Point. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Holbrook was an executive with Carolina Container Company. He served as a member of the University’s Board of Trustees, Board of Visitors, Board of Advisors for the Charles E. Hayworth Chapel, and the Education Foundation. He also served as Chairman of the American Humanics Advisory Committee and was active in numerous nonprofit organizations in North Carolina. Recipients of the Holbrook Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning and will be rising seniors preparing for a career in Sports Medicine. Criteria for selection will be based upon academic achievement, performance inside and outside the classroom, and exemplary leadership potential.
