Charles Clifton Edwards Scholarship

The Charles Clifton Edwards, Sr., Scholarship was established in 1995 through gifts from his son, Charles C. Edwards, Jr. Mr. Edwards was a prominent High Point businessman and was the founder of Edwards Business College which opened in 1910 and operated for many years in High Point and Winston-Salem. Later, Mr. Edwards was the founder and owner of Carolina Springs, Inc. in High Point. Scholarship recipients will be selected by the University’s Office of Financial Planning. Recipients must demonstrate a sound record of academic achievement at the high school, college, and/or university level. Preference will be given to students residing in the State of NC who are majoring in business or a related field. In the selection process, if all factors appear to be equal between two students, preference will be given to one who has a demonstrated financial need. Scholarships will be automatically renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
