Recipients will pursue a degree in the Phillips School of Business. Recipients will have demonstrated strong character and leadership throughout high school (academics, athletics, community service, etc.) First preference will be given to a student from North Carolina. Ideally, this scholarship is awarded to an incoming student who maintains the scholarship for four years (maximum). In order to maintain the scholarship the recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA. ** Appended donor request per email from Chris Dudley 4/5/18: – Do not take a distribution until the annual distribution exceeds $10k. – Until that time he wants the distribution to be reinvested into the principal balance for the book value and market grows. – Once we have a distribution available of $10k or more he wants to begin awarding the entire available amount to one student based on the criteria. And assuming this one student continues at HPU he/she will keep the award for all 4 years.
