Cletus and Laura Kruyer Endowed Scholarship
The Cletus and Laura Kruyer Endowed Scholarship was established in 2005 by Mr. Kruyer’s daughter, Mrs. Karen Rogalski and her husband, Mr. Charles Rogalski. Additional gifts were made by the Sara Lee Corporation and by Mr. and Mrs. Kruyer. Mr. Kruyer served as a member of the faculty and administration at High Point College and High Point University from 1971 until 1986. As a member of the faculty, he taught as an associate professor occupying the Earl N. Phillips Chair of Business Administration. Later he was named Vice President for Development, a position he held until his retirement. Mrs. Laura Kruyer was an active leader in the community, as well as in her church, St. Christopher’s Episcopal in High Point. The Kruyer Scholarship is completely unrestricted and may be awarded at the discretion of the Office of Financial Planning. Once awarded, scholarships are renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s studies.
