Earl E. Congdon Endowed Scholarship

The Earl E. Congdon Endowed Scholarship was established in 1998 by Mr. Earl E. Congdon. Mr. Congdon is executive chairman of Old Dominion Freight Line, one of America’s leading transportation logistic companies with 10,000 employees, based in Thomasville, NC. Mr. Congdon and his wife, Kitty, are the lead donors of Congdon Hall which houses the Congdon School of Health Sciences and the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy. Recipients of the Congdon Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning and will be rising seniors who are preparing for careers in Business Management or Accounting. The criteria for selection will be based on the student having at least a B average and a financial need for the scholarship.
