Elaine L. Bassford Endowed Scholarship for Education

The Elaine L. Bassford Endowed Scholarship for Education was established in April 2019 by William T. and Marshele B. Burgess of Owings, Maryland. The Burgess’s desire is to support an eligible undergraduate student(s) with financial need as determined by the High Point University Office of Financial Planning. Prospective recipient(s) will submit an application to the School of Education, and will be selected in conjunction with the Office of Financial Planning. First preference will be given to a deserving student(s) majoring in Education. This scholarship will be renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
