Emma Fritz Padgett Scholarship

The Emma Fritz Padgett Endowed Scholarship was established in 2004 as a result of an estate gift from Mrs. Padgett. She was a resident of High Point throughout her lifetime and served as guidance counselor, teacher and principal in public and private schools in Guilford County. Mrs. Padget was married for over 40 years to Mr. Don Padgett. The Padgetts had no children; her children were her students. Preference for the Padgett Scholarship will be given to students residing in Guilford County. The scholarship is renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s academic work.
