Fred Alexander Scholarship

The Fred W. Alexander Scholarship Fund was established in 1987 by friends and business associates of Mr. Alexander, a leading businessman in the community for many years and who served as president of the High Point Bank and Trust Company. The scholarship will be awarded to students who have a demonstrated financial need and are planning to pursue a major in history. Incoming freshmen should have a cumulative GPA of “B” or better and preference will be given to students who are applying from the states of North Carolina and Virginia. The scholarship will automatically be renewed upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
