George and Shirley Erath Endowed Scholarship

The Erath/Furniture Industry Scholarship endowed fund was established through a challenge by George and Shirley Erath, who matched funds raised by the furniture industry. The purpose of the fund is to assist outstanding students who plan to enter the industry. Recipients must be majoring in home furnishing marketing programs and maintain a “C” average. Preference will be given to a) children of individuals employed within the industry, b) juniors and seniors in the program, and c) persons in need of financial help, as determined by the Office of Financial Planning with recommendations from the School of Art and Design.
