Harry R. and Catharine W. Culp Endowed Scholarship

The Harry R. and Catharine W. Culp Endowed Scholarship was established in March 2018 by Harry “Frosty” and Catharine Wilson Culp of High Point, NC. Dr. Frosty Culp is a retired dentist who practiced in High Point for 32 years. He currently serves on the HPU Board of Visitors. Frosty and Catharine have supported many non-profit pursuits including Community Clinic of High Point, High Point Regional Hospital Foundation Board, Family Service of the Piedmont, String and Splinter and High Point Country Club. They are the parents of daughter Emily and sons Royer and Will. Frosty and Catherine are supporters of the University and believe that HPU is making a significant impact in the City of High Point. They desire to support HPU students pursuing an extraordinary education through the establishment of an endowed scholarship. Recipients of the Harry R. and Catharine W. Culp Endowed Scholarship will be undergraduate students selected by the Office of Financial Planning based on financial need. First preference will be given to a student pursuing a career in the field of medicine. Second preference will be given to a student pursuing a career in the field of medicine with a focus on the underserved and indigent populations. The scholarship may be renewable based upon the successful completion of the previous year’s academic work.
