Helen Brooks Millis Scholarship

The Helen Brooks Millis Scholarship was established by the generosity of Mrs. Helen Brooks Millis who provided a bequest to High Point College to be made by her estate. Mrs. Millis, her late husband Mr. J. E. Millis, and their family have maintained active roles with High Point College from the time of its organization and its opening in 1924. Mrs. Millis was a charter member of the High Point College Board of Visitors and maintained an active role until her death on May 8, 1982. She was elected as an honorary member of the High Point College chapter of the Alpha Delta Theta sorority in recognition for the time and interest which she shared with its members. Recipients of the Helen Brooks Millis Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning. Except for the consideration to give first preference for grants to members of the Alpha Delta Theta Sorority, there are no general restrictions governing the making of grants in the name of the Helen Brooks Millis Scholarship.
