Henrietta Bundy Harris and Cleo Harris Scholarship

The Henrietta Bundy Harris and Cleo Harris Scholarship was established in 1996 by a gift to High Point University from his wife, Henrietta, in his honor. The principal sum of the fund shall be invested at the discretion of High Point University. Academic scholarship grant(s) shall be made annually from income earnings. Grants will be made according to need and the earnest desire of a recipient to complete his or her college education. First preference for grants will be given to students having a junior or senior class-standing and seeking a degree in Early Childhood or Primary Education. In the absence of an applicant meeting the first preference qualification, consideration may be given to a junior or senior majoring in any of the degreed programs within the School of Education. Further preference will be given to North Carolina residents. Recipients of the Harris Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning. Scholarships may be renewable based upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
