High Point Literary League Scholarship
The High Point Literary League Scholarship was established in 1987 at High Point University by members of the High Point Literary League. The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize excellence in creative writing and literary areas of study. Qualified students must be a resident of North Carolina with preference being given to a student engaged in the study of creative writing or journalism. One scholarship will be awarded annually. Recipients will be nominated by the University’s English Department faculty and selection will be made by the Scholarship Committee of the High Point Literary League. Emphasis will be placed upon students who have demonstrated academic merit and financial need with preference being given to female students who have maintained at least a “B” average in their writing curriculum.
