J M Smith Foundation Independent Community Pharmacists Scholarship

The Smith Foundation Independent Community Pharmacists Scholarship was established in September 2015 by the J M Smith Foundation of Spartanburg, SC. The donor’s intention in making this gift was to provide scholarship assistance for High Point University School of Pharmacy students pursuing careers in community independent pharmacy. Scholarship awards will begin once the fund has reached the minimum funding level of $75,000. Until such time as the endowed scholarship is able to distribute aid, the Foundation established an annual scholarship, of the same name, for a $5,000 award beginning September 2016. Scholarship recipient selection will be made by the Dean of the School of Pharmacy with the Office of Financial Planning. Student recipients in good standing at the University shall be eligible to retain the scholarship from year to year.
