J. Edward Pleasants Scholarship

The J. Edward Pleasants Scholarship Fund was established in 1990 through gifts from NationsBank (now Bank of America), friends, and members of the Pleasants family. Mr. Pleasants was a banker of note in the City of High Point and served as a member of the University’s Board of Directors. Recipients of the Pleasants Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning. First preference for the Pleasants Scholarship will be given to students who reside in the state of North Carolina, preferably in Guilford or contiguous counties. Students should be deserving and indicate a demonstrated financial need. Scholarship may be renewable based upon satisfactory completion of the previous year’s work.
