J. Robert and Maggie Stout Scholarship
The Stout Scholarship was established in 1997 through gifts from Mr. and Mrs. J. Robert Stout of Greensboro, North Carolina. Mr. Stout has served as a member of the Board of Trustees, numerous community organizations, and President of the Steel Bar Corporation. Active in civic and community organizations, Mrs. Stout has devoted her service in organizations such as the Woman’s Club, Garden Club and the Women’s Investment Clubs in Greensboro. Mr. and Mrs. Stout are active members of the Sedgefield Presbyterian Church. Recipients of the Stout Scholarship may be named as freshmen or at any stage of their academic endeavors at High Point University. Preference will be given to students entering or enrolled in the School of Business and, although financial need is not the main determining factor, it may be considered in the selection process if all other factors are equal. Scholarships may be renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
