James B. and Odelle P. Lovelace Scholarship

The James B. and Odelle P. Lovelace Scholarship was established at High Point University in October 1992 through a donation of $100,000. Mr. Lovelace was a retired attorney and a former prosecuting attorney for the city of High Point and was a past member of the High Point University Board of Visitors. Priority will be given to students who have demonstrated exemplary citizenship qualities through service in the community and who have demonstrated financial need. To fulfill the guidelines established by the Lovelaces, all Lovelace Scholars must enroll and excel in courses on US history, political science, and the US Constitution.
