James E. and Betty G. Thomas Scholarship

The James E. and Betty G. Thomas Scholarship was established in 1994 through gifts from Mr. and Mrs. Thomas of High Point. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas were generous supporters of University projects and programs, and they served the High Point community through their service to business, civic organizations, and church causes. Thomas Scholarship recipients will be selected from North Carolina students with emphasis on candidates from Guilford, Randolph and Davidson counties. Students must be enrolled on a full-time basis and maintain a sound academic record throughout their enrollment. Although emphasis should be given to financial need, it should not be the main determining factor for selection. Preference will be given to students majoring in Business Administration with a degree leading toward a career in management or manufacturing. Scholarships will be automatically renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
