Jean A. Hardin Endowed Scholarship

The Jean A. Hardin Endowed Scholarship in Health Sciences was established from the Estate of Jean A. Hardin in 2009. Pursuant to Ms. Hardin’s wishes, the annual proceeds of this endowed scholarship are to be awarded to one or more deserving students enrolled at High Point University. The recipient shall have demonstrated financial need and be studying within the field of medicine (health sciences). The scholarship funds can be applied to tuition, books, and/or room and board. It was the donor’s desire that the student awarded the Hardin Scholarship consider serving a minimum of one year after graduation in a rural area where there is a shortage of medical personnel. Recipients of the scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning. Scholarships may be renewable upon the successful completion of the previous year’s work.
