Jean and David Wagoner Scholarship

The Jean and David Wagoner Endowed Scholarship was established in 1995 from a gift of real estate from Mr. and Mrs. Wagoner of High Point. The Wagoners were longtime residents of the City of High Point and both attended High Point College (now University). Mr. Wagoner received a degree in business in 1955 and Mrs. Wagoner received a degree in education in 1956. Both were employed in their respective careers of business and education for 30 years prior to their retirement. Recipients of the Wagoner Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning. Recipients may be selected from incoming freshmen or at any period of time during their full-time enrollment at High Point University. First preference will be awarded to students majoring in either business, education, or to a student in the band. Recipients should maintain an average of “C” or better to be qualified for the scholarship. No restrictions will be placed upon geographic resident or financial need. Scholarships may be renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
