Joseph G. and Jeannie D. Van Nortwick Hoeg '63 Endowed Scholarship in Education

The Joseph G. and Jeannie D. Van Nortwick Hoeg ‘63 Endowed Scholarship in Education was established as an enduring reflection as Mrs. Hoeg’s gratitude for the support that High Point University provided her in preparation for a long and rewarding career as a public school teacher. The School of Education and the Office of Financial Planning will manage applications for the Hoeg Scholarship. Scholarship will be awarded to a student from the School of Education with preference given to those who plan to teach in the public schools. Applicants must be citizens of the United States and have a declared major in Education with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 following their freshman year and demonstrate a clear social record to apply. Once awarded, the recipient may maintain the scholarship through to senior year as long as the established criteria is maintained.
