Laury Ann Lynch Scholarship

The Laury Ann Lynch Scholarship was established in 1992 by friends and family members of Laury Lynch. Laury passed away in 1992 as a result of an acute asthma attach that ultimately led to an arrhythmia that claimed her life. She was in her junior year and an elementary education major. Recipients of the Lynch Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning. Preference will be given to rising juniors enrolled in the School of Education with preference being given to elementary education majors. Recipients should have strong academic credentials, exhibit leadership ability, and be enthusiastic about life and the learning experience it provides. Financial need may be a consideration in the selection process, but it should not be the main determining factor. Scholarships may be renewable upon satisfactory completion of the previous year’s work.
