Lena Hammer and John Wesley Thacker Scholarship

The Lena Hammer and John Wesley Thacker Scholarship was established by the daughters and sons of Mr. and Mrs. Thacker following the death of Mrs. Thacker on November 4, 1979, at age 92. Recipients of the Thacker Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning. Scholarships will be awarded to an academically able student with high future potential and worthy of financial assistance. First preference will be given to students with an indicated major in Education. Scholarships may be renewed upon the satisfactory completion of the previous year’s work.
