Locke-Lorenz Faculty Development Gift Fund

In December 1978, an anonymous donor made a gift of $5,005.00 to High Point College designating that the gift shall be used to “start a revolving loan fund for the faculty, both active and retired members.” It was stated that “the gift is to honor Dr. William R. Locke and Dr. Lincoln Lorenz who served the College and its students faithfully for so many years.” Eligible members, active or retired, of the High Point University faculty may borrow up to a maximum of $1,000 so long as funds are available for a maximum period of one (1) year. Terms for the repayment of each loan will be determined with the borrower at time of negotiation. All income received in the form of interest, or any other income, shall accrue to the principal fund and be available for additional loans as the fund grows. 10/22/18: Changed (corrected) the Cash and Pay-Cash debit numbers from 1-000000-11001 to 4-000000-11008
