Louise D. and Bill L. Minor Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Louise D. and Bill L. Minor Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Mr. Minor, Class of 1950, in August 2015. Mr. Minor was born in High Point, North Carolina in 1928. Mrs. Minor was born in High Point in 1930 and was a graduate of High Point Central High School. Mrs. Minor passed away on January 27, 2015. Mr. and Mrs. Minor were married in 1948 and lived in High Point. Mr. and Mrs. Minor had an acute appreciation for the value of higher education and a strong admiration for High Point University. This scholarship is given in the hope that current and future students of the University from the State of North Carolina may benefit in a tangible way in their pursuit of higher education and the American Dream. The scholarship will be funded with the proceeds from the Louise D. and Bill L. Minor Family Trust following the death of Mr. Minor. Any individual or entity may make additional gifts to the Fund at any time either by gift or bequest. Recipients of the Louise D. and Bill L. Minor Endowed Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning from students from the State of North Carolina. The scholarship may be renewed provided the student maintains or surpasses the required minimum GPA of 3.0 and has maintained a clean social record.
