Martha Elma Ellis Scholarship

The Martha Elma Ellis Scholarship Fund was established at High Point College (now University) in 1988 through a major endowed gift from the High Point Bank and Trust Company. The Ellis Scholarship was funded by the Bank to honor Miss Ellis who, at the time of the gift, had been employed at the Bank for fifty-seven (57) years and held the position of Senior Vice President. Recipients may be any upperclassmen who are in good academic standing with the University or incoming freshmen who are preparing for enrollment to the University. Preference will be given to applicants from the High Point area. Scholarships will be renewable annually following successful completion of the previous year’s work.
