Mellichampe Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The James Hooper Mellichampe, Jr., Memorial Scholarship In Business was established in 2007 by Mrs. Mary W. Mellichampe in memory of her husband. Mr. Mellichampe lived in High Point for 58 years until his death at age 90 in 2005. He had a great admiration for the entrepreneurial spirit and an acute appreciation for the value of higher education. Preference for the Mellichampe Memorial Scholarship will be given to students from North Carolina, be an upperclassman, and majoring in any program within the School of Business. Recipients will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning. Scholarships may be renewable based on the successful completion of the previous year’s work.
