Mickey and Katy Boles Endowed Scholarship
The Mickey and Katy Boles Endowed Scholarship was established by Mickey and Katy Boles. The Boles, of Winston-Salem, have a significant history with HPU as three generations of their family have attended the university. They are successful entrepreneurs and generous philanthropists. Mickey serves as owner and CEO of Smith Phillips Building Supply, a leading building material supply company, while Katy served as co-founder, president and CEO of Graham and Boles Properties, a residential real estate brokerage firm. Both have been involved in leadership positions at their alma mater, where Katy served on the Board of Trustees, and Mickey serves on the Board of Visitors. The Boles have three children: Sallie ‘94, Sam and Christopher. The Mickey and Katy Boles Endowed Scholarship will support students with demonstrated financial need, as determined by the High Point University Office of Financial Planning. First preference will be given to a student majoring in entrepreneurship. This scholarship may be renewed upon successful completion of the previous year’s academic work.
