P. E. Lindley and J. Clay Madison Scholarship
The P.E. Lindley and J. Clay Madison Scholarship was established by alumni and friends of Dr. Lindley and Dr. Madison. Dr. Lindley was head of the Department of Religion from 1924 through 1950 and a Dean of the College for many years. Dr. Madison is a graduate of the Class of 1932 and a life member of High Point College Board of Trustees. Dr. Madison had a distinguished ministry in the Western NC Conference of the United Methodist Church. Applications for consideration for the Lindley-Madison Scholarship are administered by the Alumni Association Board in the spring semester of each academic year. Recipients of the Lindley-Madison Scholarship are selected by the Alumni Association Board Scholarship Committee based upon demonstrated financial need. There is no limitation to field of study, but first preference may be given to students pursuing careers of Christian service.
