Pro Bono Physical Therapy Clinic Support Endowment Fund
The Pro Bono Physical Therapy Clinic Support Endowment was established in October, 2018 through a gift from Ms. Emily Millis-Hiatt, of High Point, North Carolina. The Fund shall be administered under the following guidelines: The Distribution Amount may be spent to support the salary, benefits and professional development connected with the assistant clinical professor in the Department of Physical Therapy assigned to the Pro Bono Clinic, the chair of the Department of Physical Therapy shall oversee the distribution of funds, The Recipient shall be subject to the policies and administrative guidelines for hiring and promoting faculty of the University. If there is a vacancy in the position, distributions from the Fund may be used to support the Pro Bono Clinic at the discretion of the chair of the Department of Physical Therapy. If, within ten (JO) years of the date the Donor sign this agreement, the book value of the Fund principal reaches $1,000,000 or more, the Fund name may be changed by the Donor, such a change requires the written request of the Dean of the Congdon School of Health Sciences and the approval of the Provost. The Distribution Amount shall be spent in a manner consistent with the provisions of this paragraph and in accordance with the procedures of the University in place at the time of the expenditure. The University shall provide an annual report on the Fund, including fund balances and a description of the uses of the assets of the Fund (the “Annual Report”), to Ms. Millis-Hiatt during the Donor’s lifetime. After the Donor’s death, and only upon request, the University shall provide the Annual Report to Molly Millis-Young during the Designee’s lifetime, After the death of the Donor and the Designee, the University will provide Annual Reports to the descendants of the Donor as requested.
