Robert E. and Hessie S. Williams Endowed Scholarship

The Robert E. and Hessie S. Williams Endowed Scholarship was established by the Williams’ in December 2002. Dr. Williams, a graduate of High Point University, Class of 1959, retired in 1999 after serving as a minister and educator in Virginia and North Carolina. Mrs. Williams, who retired in 2000, also was an educator in Virginia and North Carolina. Their son and daughter graduated from High Point University. This scholarship will be awarded to students majoring in Business, Education or Religion. The recipients should demonstrate academic potential with preference being given to those who may not receive financial aid awards because of high academics or need-based assistance. The award may be given to a student at any class level and may be renewed upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
