Ruth Ridenhour Faculty Development Fund

The Ruth May Ridenhour Faculty Development Fund was established in 2006 as the result of a gift from the estate of Ruth and Henry Ridenhour of Pilot Mountain. Through their lifetimes and in death, Henry and Ruth Ridenhour contributed more than one million dollars to High Point University. Mrs. Ridenhour was an alumna of the Class of 1942 and an English teacher in the public school system for more than thirty years. The Ridenhours were deeply supportive of the University’s endowed scholarship program, the building fund, and through their final estate gift established the Ridenhour Faculty Development Fund to recognize distinguished classroom achievement.
