Shaw Spiers Endowed Scholarship

The Shaw Spiers Endowed Scholarship was established in 2006 through a gift from the L. Jack and Ella Shaw Spiers Foundation in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mrs. Spiers was a major contributor to High Point University during her lifetime and to charitable needs throughout North Carolina. This scholarship was established in her memory. Recipients will be graduates of a North Carolina public high school with a demonstrated financial need. At High Point University they must be majoring in elementary education and maintain an ongoing GPA of 3.0. Scholarships are automatically renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
