Sheriff Family Veterans Awareness Endowed Fund

The Sheriff Family Veterans Awareness Endowed Fund was established in December 2017 by Alan and Karen Sheriff of Newton, PA. Alan and Karen are proud parents of High Point University student Daniel J. Sheriff (Class of 2020). In addition to being a student at HPU, Daniel serves in the United States Marine Corps, and of his three brothers is a veteran of the USMC. The Sheriff Family believes in the values of patriotism and service to country. To perpetuate these values, Alan and Karen established the Sheriff Family Veterans Awareness Endowment to support the University’s effort to honor veterans at the University’s annual Veterans Day celebration. The endowed fund is intended to provide resources to support any expenses incurred by the University associated with a Veterans Day celebration or other patriotic celebrations to include event expenses, gift expenses and American flags for the University and the City of High Point.
