T. Kevin DeNicola Endowed Scholarship Fund
The T. Kevin DeNicola Scholarship was established in 2007 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students with an interest in furthering their educational interests in the sciences. Mr. DeNicola is a member of the Class of 1976 and a resident of Friendswood, TX. He graduated from High Point College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from Rice University. Mr. DeNicola is currently Senior Vice President and CFO for Lyondell Chemical Company in Houston, TX. The Scholarship was established in honor of Dr. E. Roy Epperson, Professor of Chemistry at High Point University from 1966 to 2000. In addition to his long-term service to teaching, Dr. Epperson also served in numerous other capacities such as Chairman of the Department of Chemistry, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, and Director of Special Projects. Scholarship recipients will be selected by the Director of Financial Planning and the Chair of the Chemistry Department. Preference will be given to scholarship candidates with a particular interest in pursuing study in the field of chemistry. Scholarships will be automatically renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s work and on continuation of their major interest in the department of chemistry.
