The Hamilton Family Endowed Athletic Scholarship Fund

Dana L. and John L. “Jack” Hamilton of Greensboro, North Carolina, established the Hamilton Family Endowed Athletic Scholarship in August 2015. Dana Holmes Hamilton is a member of the Class of 1985 and was in Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Jack Hamilton is a member of the Class of 1981 and was in Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Recipients of the Hamilton Family Endowed Athletic Scholarship must be members of one of the University’s Olympic sport intercollegiate teams. This does not include the intercollegiate basketball team. Recipients are selected by the Office of Financial Planning in conjunction with the head coach of the Olympic sport in which student-athlete competes. In March of 2018, the Hamiltons gave permission for HPU to combine their two individual endowed funds, The John L. (Jack) Hamilton Scholarship and the Dana H. Hamilton Scholarship into this single fund.
