Thomas William Langford Scholarship
The Thomas William Langford Endowed Scholarship was established in 1997 through gifts from his parents, Tom and Barbara Langford of Salisbury, North Carolina in loving memory of their infant son, Thomas, March 24-26, 1956. Recipients of The Langford Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning to assist students pursuing careers dedicated to ministering to children. Preference will be given to those students who are entering careers involving early childhood education, either through Christian Ministries or public education. Preference will be given to students in their junior or senior years of study. Selection of recipients will be broad based and recipients may be selected from any of the following academic majors: American Humanities, Education, and/or Religion and Philosophy. Scholarships may be renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
