Valspar Corporation Endowed Scholarship

The Valspar Corporation Endowed Scholarship was established in 1995 through gifts from the corporation (formerly known as Lilly Industries). In order to apply for the Valspar Scholarship, the candidate: must be a student majoring in chemistry, must be a junior in good standing at High Point University, must be willing to work at Valspar doing the summer after junior year, and should be a resident of NC, SC, or VA (in order of preference). The work program would require the student to work in Valspar laboratories forty (40 hours per week during the summer after junior year and part-time during the senior year if schedules allow. Wages would be paid at a mutually agreed upon hourly rate.
