William D. Goldston Scholarship

The William D. Goldston Scholarship Fund was established in 1963 through a gift from The Honorable William D. Goldston of Eden, NC. Mr. Goldston spent his career in trucking as owner of Goldston Transfer, Inc. He served the State of North Carolina as a Senator in the State’s General Assembly. In addition, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the North Carolina State Ports Authority. Recipients of the scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning with preference being given to a junior or senior with a sound academic record. Priority will be given to students from North Carolina. This scholarship is not restricted to any academic area. Scholarships are renewable upon the successful completion of the previous year’s work.
