Willis H. Slane Scholarship

The Willis H. Slane Endowed Scholarship was established in 1958 by Mrs. Meredith Slane and her children in memory of Mr. Slane, a distinguished textile executive and founder of Slane Hosiery Mills of High Point. The income from this endowed fund is available annually to worthy students demonstrating financial need, preferably self-help students working in a High Point industry or business. Slane Hosiery Mills families will be given first consideration. Recipients of the Slane Endowed Scholarship will be selected by the Office of Financial Planning. Scholarships are renewable based on satisfactory completion of the previous year’s work.
