Womble Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Womble Scholarship was established in 1989 by Mr. William F. Womble of Winston-Salem, NC. Mr. Womble served as a Trustee of High Point College and had a distinguished career in the practice of law since his graduation from Duke University School of Law in 1939. Mr. Womble served as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives and held numerous positions of leadership in civic, educational, and church-related organizations. Recipients of the Womble Scholarship will be individuals who show promise as scholars and who have indicated potential as well-rounded citizens. Students should exhibit sound character traits and maintain a strong sense of values. Scholarships will be renewable on an annual basis upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
