Zenon C. R. Hansen MPA Scholarship Award

The Zenon C.R. Hansen Scholarship Award was established in 2002 by the Board of Directors of the Zenon C.R. Hansen Foundation. Mr. Hansen was a leader in the trucking industry and served as the Chairman and CEO of Mack Trucks, Inc. from 1965 to 1974. During his lifetime he was a generous philanthropist who supported causes in scouting and in higher education. Mr. Hansen was personally active in the Boy Scouts of America and he was an Eagle Scout. He was elected to the Automotive Hall of Fame in 1982. Mr. Hansen died in 1980. The scholarship is restricted for students who are pursuing a degree in the MPA Graduate Program. Candidates will be selected by the Chair of the Non-Profit Program and the recommendation will be presented to the Office of Financial Planning at High Point University. Scholarships may be renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s work. It is recommend by the Zenon C. R. Hansen Foundation be informed on an annual basis of the activity of the scholarship.
