Boras Veterans Endowed Scholarship

The Boras Veterans Endowed Scholarship was established in October 2019 by George N. and Susan E. Boras of Ashburn, Virginia. From 1999 until 2017, George and Susan Boras owned Avenge, Inc., a veteran-owned aerospace company specializing in Manned ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) Operations and Training. George Boras spent 23 years in the Army National Guard and Reserve, retiring in 2010 as a Lieutenant colonel. The Boras’ created this endowed scholarship in honor of and to thank those that have served our country. George and Susan Boras have two daughters, Caroline K. and Virginia G. Boras, and a son, Alexander G. Boras. Alexander is a member of the Class of 2022 at High Point University and is a business major with a concentration in marketing. As a family, the Boras’ have invested time into other life passions such as real estate, traveling ventures, wine and gourmet food, and home décor. George N. and Susan E. Boras’ desire is to support an eligible undergraduate student(s) with financial need as determined by the High Point University Office of Financial Planning. First preference will be given to a student that is a veteran, or if there are no veterans, then the child of a veteran may be selected. This scholarship will be renewable upon successful completion of the previous year’s work.
