Mattoon Family Endowed Scholarship

The Mattoon Family Endowed Scholarship Fund was established on December 31, 2024, by Dean L. Mattoon and Kimberly S. Mattoon of Nashville, Tennessee. Kimberly and Dean Mattoon are the parents of Lee S. Mattoon, member of the HPU Class of 2028. Under the guidelines set forth within the agreement, recipients will be selected on the basis of financial need from the eligible undergraduate students as determined by the HPU Office of Student Financial Planning. First preference will be given to students who are or have previously been active in any branch of the U.S. Military. Second preference will be given to students who plan to major in Communications and/or Theatre and who have a parent (including biological, step-, or adoptive parent), living or deceased, who are or have previously been active in any branch of the US Military. Third preference will be given to students who plan to major in Communications and/or Theater. This scholarship may be renewed upon the successful completion of the previous year’s work.
